About the web site

This website is at heart a learning tool for the group. It of course also hopes to be informative. Finally, the site will also act as a repository and launching point for all of Apolo Productions' projects.

The front pages are designed using a combination of HTML, PHP, CSS and CVS technologies. Andrei recently purchased PHP and MySQL for Dynamic Web Sites: Visual QuickPro Guide in hopes of learning more about creating web based applications. After a few chapters of PHP, he was off and running.

The front pages feature a combination of shared include files, cvs archiving, and a little help from Erik Bosrup's javascript overLib (which Andrei happened across while marvelling at PokerRoom's Tournament Calendar). The shared include files set up the consistant format between pages while allowing each page to be easily maintained with only it's page relevant content. The cvs archiving allows version numbers to be generated for each page. Finally Bosrup's libraries add the nice floating notes you see over some links.

This is a journal following some of the work being done on the site.

Currently, it's an embed of my work journal. More will be forthcoming.
